Fourth of July Explosives!

Anyone who knows me very well knows that for the past.. uh.. 20 years i've been obsessed with fireworks. Each year i'd save more and more coins throughout the year.. putting them in jars, boxes etc... until finally cashing them out @ coinstar (or at the bank in days before coinstar). Anyways I finally maxed out one year at $350! on fireworks. Last year i didn't buy anything :( so to make up for it this year i'm gonna buy early and often!

Also it's my tofuboy friend's birthday on July 3rd. Not exactly sure where we're gonna blast 'em but just like every other year, things will work out and we'll have someplace to start a fire :)

Shopping list for this year:
1. New Lexane for the rocket launchers (i'll post photos so you can check 'em out)
2. Terminator 11oz. Rockets (if you can find them that is) (oh boy do they rock)
3. Vampire rockets (8oz.)
4. Explosives (m-80's and the like)
5. Buzz bombs
6. Pill bombs (not really bombs, sometimes called spaceships)
7. Festival balls (we found that the big double breaks are better than the triples)
8. New support pins for the festival ball quad launcher (i'll post photos of that bad boy too)
9. Missiles 8+ oz.
10. Some way of launching the missiles (maybe another turret type weapon?)
11. Loud medium rockets (whats the point if you don't have to cover you ears?)

Anyways i'm sure we'll be trying to get everyone together for BBQ's and the eventual destruction of paper with flame. I'll post more here once we get some stuff figured out.

2 Comments:

  • Found some stuff so far...

    'superman' rockets...
    vampires
    small-tube arial shells (might-mite pack)

will stock up on these 3 for loudness...

Also found a place to blast stuff in Covington, a family friend of Chris'...

  • So the superman's are taken care of, as are the small arials (noisy arials)... however vampire's are in short supply this year.

Some cheap knockoffs were strewn about the stands this year as was a dude pushing m-80's at $10 a pop.

pssh. In any case i've spent my money and my brothers, however Chris' funds remained untapped. We'll prolly make a run on the 3rd or 4th with Chris / Matt to pickup those last minute items.
