No more driving

Howdy folks,

Just returned from a whirlwind of a summer festivus 2006.

Photos are on my flickr site at http://www.flickr.com/photos/rhanson but i've left them set at friends and family (so login to flickr)... or if the owners of the photos agree, i'll make them public.

Lots to tell, i wish i had brought my waterproof camera container for those rainy (hail-y) days... oh well... in any case here's the tally:

* 1 dead battery (Matt)
* 1 interrupted white water rafting trip
* 1 lightning bolt about 2 blocks away from us
* 2 flat tires (Chris + Matt)
* 2 uncomfortably close thunderstorms (ow ow ow hail on my noggin')
* 3 fishing trips (yellowstone + henry's lake, and two floats on the Henry's fork)
* 90 clay pidgeons
* 350rds of ammo, and about 200 shells
* 500 dollars worth of fireworks
(who knows how many rockets are left?, at least 40+ arial m-80s)
* 2200+ miles of driving

phew!

Definitely a very fun festivus. I think I'll need another week of vacation to recover and burn off those delicious meals.
